A first for me today was heading out to watch the Australian Rally Championship based out of Ballarat. I've been to tarmac rallys in the past but never to one on dirt. Watching the cars fly through the forest on the dirt is something else.

Below are a couple of shots with more on facebook

A 50 year storm they were calling it......

Below and on facebook are some shot from this storm.

My love hate relationship with shooting photos at the Formula 1 was at it again over the weekend. Every year they seem to find a way to destroy the only few good spots left. I ended up only talking photos of cars on track during the Friday after ending up frustrated and just wanted to enjoy watching the cars on the Saturday and Sunday,

Below and on facebook are a selection of shots from the w...

The 2019 Formula 1 Season Launch was held in Federation Square in the Melbourne CBD with all 20 drivers and 10 team principals in attendance.

I say it every year but WorldSBK is one of the best events you can go to as a general spectator. By purchasing a 3 day general admission pass you get free entry to the WorldSBK paddock.

The paddock show and having parc ferme located in the paddock make access to the riders for fans like nothing else in the world.

MotoGP at Phillip Island did not disappoint with 3 amazing races. As always the weather was up and down all weekend with the wind and rain prominent on Friday and Saturday but the sun finally showing up Sunday for the world on race day.

Yamaha finally broke the 25 race winless streak after a classic Phillip Island race with a large group of riders battling it out over the first half of the race af...

Headed down to Phillip Island last Saturday to check out Supercars for first time in 2018. The drive down was a cold one with the fog before getting onto the island making visibility down to 200meters but once on the island it was surprising clear.

Once it was time for Supercars qualifying the sun had come out but it was still relativity cold and you could see some drivers struggling to get heat in...

Round 1 of the 2018 WorldSBK championship at Phillip Island produced amazing racing with Marco Melandri claiming a thrilling win by 0.021s over Jonathan Rea in race 2 after also claiming race 1 on Saturday afternoon. As the Island does it through up some random weather as it was raining, windy, dry, sunny, raining, dry, sunny etc over the weekend.

WorldSBK is one of the best bike events to go to do...

Well it didn't rain as much as last year but it was still not warm down at the Island again for the 2017 Australian MotoGP.

MotoGP saw seven riders slug it out passing and repassing each other a total of 73 times. Jack Miller had a blinder of a start to lead the first lap before the group behind caught him. The lead group consisted of Marc Márquez, Valentino Rossi, Andrea Iannone, Maverick Vinales,...

Heading off Thursday night with the boys for a weekend away on the bikes for a long weekend of bikes and beer.

Saturday was a good day.....

Canon was running a day down at Phillip Island during the Shannon's Nationals. They had an array of equipment to try and also Canon Master Mark Horsburgh on hand to answer any questions.

Throughout the day I got to try 1D Mark II, 400mm f/2.8L IS II, 600mm f/4L IS II and the 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II.

Another fun weekend at the Australian Grand Prix but not the result we wanted for our Aussie boy Daniel Ricciardo. Every year this event is harder and harder to get good photos as a spectator due to more and more fences and less and less access

Enjoy some shot below from the event.

The United Kingdom has held off a fast-finishing Australia to retain the prestigious International Challenge trophy at the 24th AMCN Island Classic.

The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit came alive in the fourth and final race in the multi-national event after Aussie rookie Alex Phillis (Suzuki XR69) won a thriller ahead of Jeremy McWilliams (Harris Yamaha) and another local, Steve Martin (Suzuki K...

Wow what a weekend......If only it snowed we would of had it all.

Friday was terrible and spent most of the day hiding inside a marque out of the rain but then again I do love shooting any motorsport in the rain as it just adds so much extra to the pictures.

Saturday was better in the morning but very windy until the all mighty rain squall came off the water and it chucked it down to delay proceedin...

The annual pilgrimage to Bathurst came around again and it was off on an 8-9 hour drive from Melbourne.  The weather this year could of thrown up anything with the amount of rain that had be around the area in the weeks leading up to the event, But as you can see it was a spectacular weather and a interesting finish to the race.

A selection of Images from the event can be found on Facebook.
